As a Supply Handler, you will be responsible for the transportation of supplies and mail within a designated site. This is an important role in patient care and our business and will let you see the difference that you make in patients' lives.

Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for assuring that supplies, medical equipment, and mail are retrieved and distributed within a site adhering to scheduled timelines.
Key Accountabilities:
· Transportation of supplies and mail within a designated site adhering to scheduled timelines.
· Transportation of medical/surgical equipment, case carts and other equipment as necessary.
· Collection of supplies, instruments, etc. from the designated site and disposing in an appropriate way.
· Responsible for lifting and moving of heavy items up to 40 lbs. (70%)
· First point of contact with health region employees as it relates to site specific changes impacting schedules of Walkers and Couriers and escalates issues to management as required. (10%)
· First point of contact for site Porter issue resolution and escalates issues to Manager as required. (10%)
· Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working environment. (10%) Position Requirements:

Key Contacts:
· Logistics Supervisor - Regular interaction with the supervisor. Escalates any issues/problems to the Supervisor.
· Hospital Staff - Regular daily interaction providing customer service to all departments within the hospital
