Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Extraction, the Coordinator, Extraction will be responsible for the coordination and execution of extraction activities and post processing of product for the Aurora Thrive extraction team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the daily schedule for extraction, distillation and formulation staff as well as non-extractions staff present in the extraction lab.
• Responsible for the daily paperwork required by HC and Aurora Thrive Operations - including entries into AirMed and Production Daily reporting
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, and other departments to ensure schedule adherence.
• Ensure that proper sanitation is maintained for all production equipment and tools including workspaces, processing equipment, containers, and appliances.
• Maintains inventory of supplies, materials, equipment, including material safety data sheets for all chemicals and products
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Ability to master and control all equipment in a laboratory-type environment including sophisticated high-pressure oil extraction equipment, centrifuges, homogenizers, concentrators, filtration, dilution and formulation equipment
• Lead the Extraction Team towards meeting department goals around efficiencies, yields and cost.
• Support and nurture a team environment. Be a steward of company culture and Aurora's Values in Play
• Where applicable, must adhere to Aurora's SOPs and comply with the Cannabis Act.
• In addition, must adhere to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
• Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements.
• Other duties as required
Requirement
• Must be able to wear Proper PPE (jump suits, safety glasses, hair nets, etc.)
• Must have ability to work within a team environment.
• Close attention to detail
• Must have the ability to multi-task, coupled with a sound mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent organizational skills, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate to excellent computer skills in MS Office
• Excellent time management, leadership, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability and desire to work with people at all levels of the organization.
• Ability and desire to lead.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous experience in Lead role in a processing environment in a relevant industry, including food, health care, pharmaceuticals, etc.
• 2+ years' experience in a GMP environment is preferred.
