Ontario Health is seeking a dynamic Team Lead within the Strategy, Planning, Privacy and Analytics Portfolio, a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the Analytics Data Hub (ADH) service operations, and ensuring exemplary ADH tenant service and satisfaction. The ADH is a scalable analytics platform to securely provision, share, and analyze health data.
The Team Lead will oversee a team that is responsible for planning, managing, and leading the operational support for the onboarding of new tenants and data assets as well as the delivery of information products for the tenants of ADH. The Team Lead works closely with key internal/external stakeholders to lead deliverables and identify both issues and opportunities for improvement in data and information workflows in the ADH. This position plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, quality and delivery of information products and that the data requirements of multiple stakeholders are met. The ability to cultivate stakeholder relationships and maintaining a strong collaborative working style will be critical success factors to this role. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented, individual possessing excellent time management, communication and prioritization skills.
Here is what you will be doing:
Plays a lead role in defining objectives and standards, prioritize key activities, assign accountabilities, and develops deliverables as part of the operational plan.
Works with the Manager to determine and develop the required frameworks, processes, and tools to execute on the operational plan.
Provides guidance and oversight to the team on the day-to-day operations.
Manages assigned staff, including allocation of staff resources, delegating, scheduling, and prioritizing of staff workloads.
Work closely with OH business partners, program areas, technology services, security, and privacy and legal to ensure efficient and effective stewardship of data and information at Ontario Health.
Manages ADH Tenant initiatives including facilitating project planning and managing risks and issues.
Ensures new tenancies, data assets ingest and information products are constructed and deployed in compliance with legal, privacy and security recommendations.
Offers knowledge translation services and develops documentation to support business and analytics users in the uptake and interpretation of defined information products.
Works internally and externally with key stakeholders to identify data sources, data users, and data processes.
Participates and supports the Business requirement gathering sessions.
Prepares reports, briefings, briefing/issue notes, and presentations for a variety of audiences.
Partners with the Data Engineering function within the team to support data configurations & production of data and analytic assets in ADH.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
An undergraduate degree (master's degree preferred) in Information Management, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Health Administration, or Health Informatics, or equivalent experience working is required
5+ years of data related experience or experience in similar capacity
3 years of management experience leading a multi-disciplinary team
Data production/operations experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
Experience with relational databases, including writing SQL queries and experience with analytic tools like SAS, R, Python is preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of data manipulation, data management, and business intelligence concepts and tools as well as familiarity with health care data standards and methodologies to deliver on objectives or execute activities
Knowledge of data architecture, data governance principles, data management, enterprise architecture, data models, processes, and application
Knowledge of the relevant data quality processes, frameworks, and methodologies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage and solicit support from a wide range of external and internal stakeholders in the delivery of the program activities
An ability to influence decisions through well-articulated recommendations to key decision makers
