Position Summary...

The Staff Pharmacist (Pharmacy Clinic) is responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized, and accessible patient care within a Pharmacy Clinic setting. They support and collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of the clinic operations.

What you'll do...

1. Provide excellent, individualized, and accessible patient care. Conduct expanded-scope professional services for eligible patients that may include, but is not limited to:

  • Medication reviews and care plans

  • Travel Health Consultations

  • Chronic Diseases Management

  • Injection Administration

  • Minor Ailments Prescribing

  • Adaptation, or renewal assessments

  • Conducting and interpreting point-of-care tests (as permitted by provincial regulatory body)

  • Medical device training

2. Engage in optimal clinic practices that facilitate proper coordination of care: patient profile updates, documentation, follow-ups, appointments, referrals, and reminders. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Assistant (Pharmacy Clinic) for accurate billing and optimized appointment availability and booking.

3. Develop and establish collaborative relationships with pharmacies, physicians, local health care professionals, and other community providers to ensure patient continuity of care.

4. Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Assistant (Pharmacy Clinic), Professional Services District Manager, Pharmacy Manager, and other internal stakeholders in executing business action plans, implementation of initiatives, and to achieve corporate business goals.

5. Ensure compliance in the operation of the clinic and provision of services by adhering to licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements, as well as corporate policies and SOPs. Protect patient privacy at all times. Promote company policies, mission, values, and ethics by overseeing practice of non-licensed associates, ensuring adherence, and supporting the Open Door Policy.

6. Operate and maintain of pharmacy equipment and supplies, including the register and computer system. Ensure proper handling and storage of clinic supplies and pharmaceutical products. Maintain the Clinic's appearance, cleanliness, and ensure marketing is kept up-to-date.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be Licensed to practice Pharmacy within their province: Provincial College of Pharmacists license

  • Injections Certification

  • Certified to conduct assessments and prescribing for Minor Ailments

  • Level C First Aid Certification

  • Additional credentials are an asset (i.e. CDE, CTH, CRE, Smoking Cessation Certified)

  • Completion of a satisfactory criminal record check
