Job Summary

We're looking for a strong and dedicated Mechanical Technician or Millwright to join our team. The right candidate will be a part of the Maintenance team — a team consisting of enthusiastic professionals who are passionate and driven to continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Technician or Millwright will maintain, troubleshoot, set-up, repair, plan, install and rebuild production and associated machinery.

*Please note, this is a continental rotating shift**

Job Responsibilities

  • Correctly diagnose a mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic problems and expedite its repair
  • Involved with the creation of proper documentation and assist in operator training
  • Perform machining requirements, including the proper use of lathes, mills, surface grinders, drill press, welding and brazing equipment and other machine shop related practices
  • Participate in major equipment rebuilds such as Bin washer, Tote washer, Tumbler, Encap machine, Tablet press, Compactor, conveyors, material lifts, dock doors, dock levels and automated sliding doors

Job Requirements

  • Licensed Millwright (433A).
  • Industrial Maintenance experience
  • Adheres to safety standards by promoting a safe work environment and verifying all safety concerns are addressed
  • Familiar with SAP transaction and work orders to document root cause of equipment breakdown and troubleshooting method
  • Be knowledgeable in equipment rebuilds around Liquid filling machines, Packaging equipment, Compactors, Mixers, clutches, conveyors, sliding doors, Storage tanks and pneumatic equipment
  • Ability to work any shift, including evenings and weekends
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Food or Cosmetics industry would be a definite asset
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
