About You: You are a passionate and innovative Industrial Design Lead with a keen eye for detail and a drive to translate cutting-edge technology into simple, beautiful, and delightful, user experiences. What you'll do: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, scientists, and product managers to understand technical requirements and translate them into innovative and delightful user experiences that set a new bar in the diagnostics industry Create sketches, 3D models, and prototypes of IVD devices using industry-standard software and tools Develop user-centered designs that enhance the usability and ergonomics of our diagnostic devices Conduct user research and incorporate feedback to refine and improve product designs Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and manufacturing constraints Present design concepts and progress to stakeholders and leadership Stay current with industry trends, new materials, and manufacturing processes What you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field 5+years of experience in industrial design, preferably working across multiple industries including the medical device or healthcare industry or a body of work of produced design or a deep understanding how your designs can be produced A full-stack mindset to drive inspiring aesthetics and usability, without compromising COGS Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360) Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills and problem-solving abilities Experience with hands-on prototyping, rapid prototyping techniques, and manufacturing processes Radical creativity Knowledge of human factors and ergonomics principles Knowledge of accessibility requirements, for medical devices; Excellent communication and presentation skills A keen eye for detail About Vital Vital is revolutionizing the landscape of point-of-care diagnostics with our groundbreaking platform, VitalOne, designed to deliver real-time care wherever patients are.
