Job Summary
Responsible for leading external communications. Ensures all external communications reflect an integrated approach to messaging that support Our Values, Our Purpose and the Winning Behaviours. Plays a pivotal role in in supporting executives with communication counsel where required. Leads all CSR and corporate philanthropy acitivities on behalf of Apotex. Will also oversee ESG program build-out and maintenance, working closely with HR, Legal and Compliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation and execution of external facing events and activities.
- Coordination of quarterly investor/lender calls as required (e.g. logistics and technical aspects) and preparation of materials.
- Accountable for creating and curating content from across the Apotex global network for use on multiple internal and external channels and platforms.
- Serves as lead for the annual United Way campaign and is the Apotex lead on all CSR and corporate philanthropy inititiaves including product and financial donations.
- Collaborates with Apotex executives to provide communications counsel and support.
- Responsible for drafting and final distribution of all press releases and management of all corporate websites.
- Lead the development and execution of the ESG program globally, working closely with HR, Legal and Compliance.
- Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

- Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.

Job Requirements
- Education
- Undergraduate degree from accredited university.
- Degree/diploma in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or Communications Management preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to influence without authority and to coach a wide variety of stakeholders regarding communications style and content.
- Proven ability to translate and simplify complex, conceptual content into crisp and compelling key messags.
- Appreciation for the need to effectively collaborate with team members in order to achieve desired outcomes.
- Excellent writing abilities.
- Highly organized and ability to perform in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, critical thinking abilities and outstanding judgment.
- Innate curiosity with the resourcefulness to solve problems and learn in order to succeed
- Track record of interacting with senior leaders demonstrating tact, diplomacy and respect while ensuring work is advanced.
- Experience
- 10+ years experience working in Communications and/or Public Relations.
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization is highly beneficial.
- Gobal experience preferred
