The Opportunity

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats. The Country Manager for Medical Devices will develop and lead the implementation of the commercial strategies required for fulfillment of Medical Devices' specific leadership objectives within country. This responsibility includes the design and management of the necessary organizational structures, people profiles, performance expectations, and business processes required for strategy fulfillment and profitable day-to-day management of business operations. This role reports to the Area Head and GM, CALA CRM.

What You'll Do

  • Managing all aspects of the P&L for assigned country to meet or exceed annual sales and margin goals.

  • Development and implementation of annual and long-range plans and strategies for Commercial operations that achieves short and long-term business objectives. Adaptation of these plans as required to changing market conditions and opportunities.

  • Developing specific, measurable objectives from the organizations business purpose. Ensuring in the case of our multi-product, multimarket, enterprises that objectives and responsibilities are established for each product and market, as well as the whole organization.

  • Influencing a cross-functional team to develop the plans and processes required for mission and objectives fulfillment.

  • Developing detailed strategy for achieving organizational objectives and setting priorities for concentrated effort, guiding the evolution of the markets that we serve, using in-depth understanding of competitive forces, market dynamics, market needs assessments and leveraging internal strengths to develop and deliver effective solutions.

  • Using the identified performance measures underlying the business objectives and strategies, guide the design and implementation of information systems and reports for monitoring strategy and implementation of organization activities.

  • Undertaking periodic comparisons of strategy and actual performance to identify areas of unsatisfactory or satisfactory results, the respective causes, and any needs for change.

  • Administers the organization on a day-to-day basis and manages the company's human resources: recruits' talent to the organization, provides direction to staff, evaluates performance, assists with career development, coaches, and mentors.

  • Build and maintain strong, ethical working relationships with key customers and other outside institutional stakeholders to further the interests of the business and ensure our products and services continue to provide benefit to the community and the patient.

  • Compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

  • Review and support quality management system and any actions that may be required to ensure effectiveness of the system.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree, MBA desirable with preferred focus on Commercial Execution through direct Sales and through a Distributor models.

  • 10 plus years of related work experience

  • Experience in Medical Device or Medical Devices industry is preferred

  • Required languages: English and Spanish

  • International experience preferred

  • Ability to work collaboratively, internally and externally.

  • Ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to lead a team and work in a group environment, including interaction with Senior / Executive level leadership.

  • Must be highly analytical; possess strong interpersonal skills including influencing, negotiation and teamwork skills.

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated management skill.
