Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Field Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving trucks and operating various types of field equipment. This role requires a strong background in farm operations and the ability to perform tasks safely and efficiently. Additionally, the Field Equipment Operator will provide support to various departments for building and facilities upkeep. They will be required to support both the Fenwick and Cayuga locations based on business demands.
Pay: $21-22/hr.
Shift: Day Shift
Main Duties
  • Assist with ACMPR destruction methods using farm tractor and manual labor.
  • Perform small construction projects.
  • Handle landscaping duties, including maintenance of foliage, grass, and gardens.
  • Conduct general maintenance of equipment, including oil changes and other fixes.
  • Unload trucks and shipments using wheel loader, tractor, or skid steer.
  • Make possible deliveries with Hino.
  • Provide inventory support as necessary, including month, quarter, and year-end counts.
  • Be available to work weekends if necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Operate and drive trucks and other field equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with farm operations, including planting, harvesting, and other related tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and achieve operational goals.
  • Provide training to new operators on equipment usage and safety procedures.

Education/Skills Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift heavy equipment, and perform manual labor.
  • Operate vehicles such as tractors, trailers, forklifts, HINO, or other machinery designed for transporting heavy materials.
  • Experience in warehouse work.
  • Experience driving trucks and operating field equipment.
  • Certifications in equipment operations are an asset.
  • Extensive farm experience is highly desirable.
  • Lift truck training and certification preferred.
  • Training with heights is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
