We're looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Processing team in the role of Supervisor Processing ( Afternoons).

Reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing the Supervisor of Processing is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily processing operations within a department or organization. This position involves managing a team, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high-quality standards in cannabis processing tasks.

Responsibilities / Duties:

  1. Safety and Compliance:
    • Oversee safety initiatives within the department.
    • Contribute to department compliance, and training efforts.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of production areas.
    • Assist in ongoing audits to ensure adherence to all mandated compliance.
  2. Manufacturing Coordination:
    • Coordinate all department activities to achieve goals.
    • Ensure effective communication within the group and across all functions/shifts.
    • Interact with various groups to facilitate smooth operations.
  3. Material and Operations Control:
    • Manage the control of all material flows within the department.
  4. Problem Solving and Improvement:
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues within the department.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  5. Quality Control:
    • Instill quality control measures to produce high-quality products.
    • Review and implement all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processing procedures, guidelines, and workflows.
  6. Performance Evaluation:
    • Evaluate the performance of processing team members, providing feedback and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
  7. Training and Communication:
    • Ensure thorough and effective training within responsible departments
    • Effectively communicate departmental results through team discussions and documents.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  2. Process Management: Strong understanding of processing workflows and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
  3. Quality Control: Knowledge of quality control principles to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  4. Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills to address processing issues and implement improvements.
  5. Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills for interacting with team members and other stakeholders.
  6. Training and Development: Experience in training and developing staff to enhance their skills and performance.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in processing operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  3. Familiarity with processing software and tools.
  4. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • This role is in one of Aurora's Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified plants and works directly with products. Towards the end of the recruitment process, we require that you undergo a medical screening exam with our third-party vendor.
