BIOVECTRA Inc. has an opening for a Quality Control Sample Coordinator. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Windsor, NS.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the QC lab’s retained sample system to ensure that unused portions of test articles for released products are retrievable as required, and that compliance with FDA 21 CFR 211.170 pertaining to reserve samples is maintained.
  • Managing BIOVECTRA’s relationships with outside testing laboratories.
  • Coordinating the sending of samples to outside labs for testing in a timely and correct manner.
  • Maintaining a list of all samples pending outside results, following up on any results which are late.
  • Ensuring proper distribution of received outside results to QC for reporting.
  • Maintaining oversight of the receipt of samples into QC and their progress through the system, communicating status and answering queries from internal clients of QC.
  • Data auditing and reviewing; including final review of non-GMP products.
  • Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor’s request.

The successful candidate for this position should have:

  • Diploma from a recognized Chemical Technology program.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry an asset.
  • Knowledge of cGMP guidelines an asset.
