JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the HR Shared Services Manager, the Talent Specialist will be accountable for providing service excellence to both internal and external stakeholders throughout the recruitment and employee lifecycle. This includes full-cycle recruitment of amazing talent to fill a wide array of vacancies, including technical and senior-level positions at Tilray Brands, and being a core member of the greater HR Shared Services team.
The successful incumbent will support Tilray's hiring strategy by using their recruitment experience to source candidates, identify solutions for candidate attraction, and build and maintain a network of potential passive and active candidates through proactive sourcing and networking. They will also be an important HR resource for the North American HR team, providing support with internal employee changes and corporate HR initiatives. This role will support various sites and subsidiaries of Tilray Brands, Inc. including in Canada, the United States, Australia & New Zealand.
We are accepting applications from candidates in the areas of Nanaimo, BC, Winnipeg, MB, Toronto, ON, and London, ON. This role is expected to be on-site 4 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers to create a partnership that produces results and builds credibility; ensure the highest service-level standards for both candidates and hiring managers
  • Leverage sense of urgency and efficiency, effectively tailoring the hiring manager experience based on their preferred way of working
  • Review candidate resumes and identify candidates for interview
  • Build and maintain a network of potential passive and active candidates through proactive sourcing and networking
  • Manage the applicant tracking system to input and track status of advertised vacancies and look for ways to streamline processes
  • Recommend innovative talent attraction strategies to meet Tilray's current needs and anticipate future needs
  • Conduct pre-screen interviews, reference checks, and criminal background checks for prospective employees, as required
  • Manage the recruitment for various positions simultaneously, including offer letter preparation, transfer of computer record, and personnel file contents
  • Complete administrate processes efficiently and accurately in Workday (HRIS) and applicable excel trackers.
  • Report recruitment results and assess data to identify trends and needs
  • Prepare application, vacancy, and job fair materials; ensure materials are available for visitors; send materials to applicants as requested
  • Lead local and global onboarding activities as required
  • Monitor the Shared HR inbox and successfully address tasks and inquiries as they arise
  • Support annual Summer Internship program activities for North American subsidiaries
  • Participate in on-going HR Service Excellence continuous improvement projects and various corporate HR initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree specializing in Human Resources preferred
  • 5+ years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment
  • 2+ years of experience with recruiting roles in Finance, IT, Sales/Marketing and US market
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to be resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to listen, question, analyze and communicate in a clear and simple manner
  • Proactively identify issues and opportunities, analyze facts and data, and develop and implement solutions
  • Demonstrates integrity, ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills supporting teamwork and collaboration, and demonstrating good judgment and diplomacy
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications, ATS and HRIS (Workday experience an asset)
  • Experience working in a centralized Human Resources model preferred
