THE OPPORTUNITY

This position works remotely in the Rapid Diagnostics Division. Abbott's rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world's greatest healthcare challenges.

The Territory Manager is responsible for managing the various clinical and industrial markets. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the territory manager will be part of a team responsible for selling and managing the complete line of Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious disease, Cardiometabolic, Toxicology products and a broad portfolio of third-party products. The territory manager is responsible for achieving the territory sales goals and is responsible for implementing the company's sales and marketing strategy; identifying, and qualifying leads while consistently closing business to meet or exceed their sales quota and goals. The person in the role will be required to perform routine administrative tasks including CRM maintenance, expense reporting etc. As employee development is essential, responsibilities and job function may expand and evolve proportionate to the employer's needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Understanding of the sales process and consultative selling skills;
• Management of sales cycle from lead generation to close;
• Consistent and on plan revenue delivery though lead identification, qualification, and sales pipeline management;
• Development of new business resulting in positive revenue generation;
• Ability to operate at the highest level as it pertains to customer service and account maintenance;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent presentation skills;
• Support and deliver key sales presentations and demonstrations where required;
• Communicate with customers on product line technical issues where required;
• Team player, assisting colleagues with learning and development opportunities;
• Develop deep market knowledge of assigned territory and customers;
• Build and maintain professional relationships with key contacts within the pharmacy, LTC, clinics and microbiology Labs; core lab, Infectious Diseases, Toxicology, Purchasing, and other KOLs and industrial partners;
• Complete administrative tasks thoroughly and promptly;
• Develop and submit sales reports, expense reports and forecasts and other required documents or reports as requested. Must actively participate in utilizing Salesforce.com (CRM);
• Complies with all laws and regulations that govern the actions of employee conduct.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor of Science degree or relevant microbiology lab experience;
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in medical diagnostics sales;
• Thorough knowledge of Healthcare Diagnostics, POC market and microbiology;
• Demonstrated territory management skills;
• Valid driver's license;
• Positive attitude with a self-driven sense of urgency;
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work independently under pressure;
• Excellent presentation and product demonstration skills;
• Good working skills using Windows Microsoft Office and other relevant sales software such as Salesforce.com;
• Travel required approximately 40% of the time.
