Job Summary
The Supervisor, Plant Work oversees and manages the plant work activities within a cultivation facility. This role involves supervising a team of workers engaged in various tasks related to plant care, maintenance, and other cultivation activities to ensure efficient operations and optimal plant health.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Supervision:
• Supervise and lead a team of workers engaged in plant care, pruning, transplanting, and other cultivation-related tasks.
• Assign tasks, schedule work shifts, and ensure adherence to established procedures and quality standards.
• Supervision and direction of plant work activities to ensure efficient operations and maintenance of plant health.
• Compliance with cultivation protocols, quality standards, and accurate documentation of plant-related activities.
• Coordination with cultivation teams to support cultivation objectives and plant health.
2. Plant Care and Maintenance:
• Monitor plant health, growth, and overall condition, guiding the team in performing tasks to maintain plant health.
• Oversee watering, feeding, pruning, and any other necessary activities to ensure optimal plant growth.
3. Quality Control and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with cultivation protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Conduct inspections to verify proper execution of tasks and adherence to established procedures.
4. Coordination and Communication:
• Coordinate plant work activities with cultivation supervisors to ensure alignment with cultivation plans and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with team members to provide guidance, feedback, and instructions.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of plant work activities, inventory, treatments, and any observations related to plant health.
• Prepare reports detailing work progress, issues encountered, and recommendations for improvement.
Requirement
• Understanding of plant care techniques, cultivation practices, and plant health indicators.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage and guide a team effectively.
• Ability to identify plant health issues and provide guidance on necessary corrective actions.
• Proficiency in documentation, communication, and adherence to protocols.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in horticulture or related fields is advantageous.
• 2+ years of experience in plant care, cultivation, or related roles, with experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Familiarity with plant care procedures, compliance regulations, and quality control practices in cultivation settings.
