Job Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor and or the Cultivation Manager, the Plant Work Specialist is responsible for leading the plant work team in day-to-day duties including planting, harvesting, pruning, defoliating, trimming cannabis and any other special projects assigned by Supervisor and or Manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Liaise with the team to support all aspects of the plant work cycle including planting, harvesting, pruning, defoliating and trimming our exceptional products.
• Elevate the operations of the facility by maintaining and sanitizing equipment, following health and safety protocols. Assisting in the application of biological controls and scouting for IPM or hardware issues.
• Cleaning and Sanitizing grow and dry rooms.
• Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Adherence to Health and Safety standards for both them and those around them.
• Knowledge of required theory and practices related to the Cannabis Industry.
• Adhere to the company code of conduct and all applicable SOPs.
• Demonstrate a continued level of development and improvement of skills/knowledge to help better complete your duties.
• Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.
• High level of accuracy.
• Strong physical abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability and desire to work with people at all levels of the organization.
Education and Experience:
• Previous experience in an agricultural or horticultural setting an asset
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting an asset
